Becoming Something

A peek at the things I’m still building. Books, printables, life.
It’s all in progress. It’s all becoming something.

Room to Grow: Series Updates

I have been working on bringing a children’s book series to life starting with Milo’s First Week.

Room to grow: milo’s first week

I started with Kindle Unlimited and publishing the ebook while I waited for my physical proof through Amazon’s direct publishing service. When I finally received the proof, I was sadly disappointed in the quality for a children’s book. The book is meant tor Pre-K and K hands, to be passed around, probably touched with grubby hands and most definitely manhandled by little fingers.

The poor quality was not something I felt comfortable putting out into the world, so I paused direct publishing. I’m currently in the process of submitting to traditional publishers and agents with the hopes to get a quality print into kids hands, in the right way. Milo’s story deserves quality!

This isn’t the final art, just something that captures how I’ve always imagined Milo. Unsure but trying, holding on tight to his stuffy and his courage.

The heart of the story is here, even if the details are still evolving.

Creative Chaos

When I’m feeling anxious, burnt out and just need a break from “real life”… I work on a fun image project.

I’ve been playing around with the idea to share on an insta page… but that’s just another random creative thought that takes up space on my to-do list.
